KIMA Notes:
An old woman living in Haenam, a southern port village of South Jeolla Province, has such a severe form of motion sickness that she resolves to walk everywhere she travels. Even when her son completed his military service, she walked to greet him, and walked back, rather than travel by nausea-inducing car. Traveling by foot has been tolerable when walking around her own village, but when her daughter announces her wedding in Mokpo, the southernmost port city in South Jeolla Province, the old woman begins her longest of journeys, a walk that will take her four days to complete. MOM¡¯S WAY is a touching story of a mother's love and perseverance, battling the weather and confusion of a long and winding road to see her child on this joyous day.

Synopsis:
A human story revolving around a mother braving the wind and rain to love her children. Living in a remote town near Haenam, a southern port city of South Jeolla Province, the mother (played by veteran actress Go Dusim) of the female narrator always feels dizzy. Since the day she gave birth to her daughter, she has been unable to even ride in a car. Even when her second son was discharged from military service, she went to meet him on foot and then walked back home. For the past 28 years, cars have become useless vehicles for her. Then one day, she decides to attend the wedding ceremony of the narrator to be held in Mokpo, the southernmost port city in the same province. The only way for the 68-year-old mother to accomplish this mission of love is to go there on foot although it will take four days, partially because of her senility.
